We are a group of volunteers who take joy in helping parents and Godparents prrpare for infant baptism. Infant baptism in CDM is usually held on the 2ndSunday of each month. Prior to that, parents and Godparents are required to attend a compulsory Infant Baptism Preparation Session. This preparation is essential as through the Sacrament of Baptism, a child becomes a part of God's family.

In fact, the aim of the Infant Baptism Team is to start engaging parents at the stage of pre-birth through a series of pre-birth talks starting from the second trimester through to the third and final stages of pregnancy. The pre-birth talks will include topics such as "Parent's Role in the Faith Formation of The Child"; "Considerations When Selecting a Name for Your Child; "How to Choose your Child's Godparents".

Godparent(s) must be 16 years old and above and have received the Sacrament of Confirmation. They must be in good standing with the Church and is currently practicing their faith and receiving the sacraments regularly. They cannot be related to the child in the direct line, i.e. parents.

Please note that to register your infant for baptism, duly completed applications (form, child's birth certificate and parent's Church/civil marriage certificates) MUST be handed in to the office at least 1 month before the intended date of Baptism
