Lectors serve the community by proclaiming the Word of God at Mass. However, as part of the overall faith formation, CDM lectors meet to prepare and reflect on God’s Word so that they can proclaim with confidence the readings they are assigned.

Lectors should have a clear and pleasant speaking voice, confidence and can speak well especially infront of a congregation. Commitment and a conviction to share God’s Word with others are essential.
